Merlyn Productions 2013 Season
Now celebrating our fifth consecutive season, Merlyn Productions is once again pleased to be present plays throughout the regular season, and at the Winnipeg Fringe Festival "Kids Fringe" in July!
Unfortunately, we may be facing a change of regular venue this year, with the pending sale of the Ellice Theatre. For this reason, a full calendar could not be posted in January, and several more play titles for both adult and family audiences are due to be added as the season continues.
General Admission for 2013 is still just $10, with many shows offering further attractive discounts for seniors, children, or groups of ten or more! (See: Tickets & Venue)

Ming Lee and The Magic Tree
211 Bannatyne Ave (via parking lot on Main Street)
From the producer of "Cinderella", "Snow White" and "The World of The Brothers Grimm" comes a delightful tale of the Far East!
A prince who wishes to marry the Princess of the Stars must remain a tiger until he learns what makes a happy man. Ming Lee, a poor stone cutter, believes wealth and power will bring him joy. Together they discover the true meaning of happiness - and that "a fine hat does not make a fine head"!
Staged in the classic Chinese style with a storyteller Chorus and comical Property Man, this will be a fun and unique theatrical experience for the whole family this Summer!
MING LEE is part of the Winnipeg Fringe Festival "KIDS FRINGE". Advance bookings and special group rates will once again be available, with links posted here as soon as tickets go on sale.
"Ming Lee and The Magic Tree" was last presented locally by Fantasy Theatre for Children at the 1993 Winnipeg Fringe Festival, with Merlyn Productions director John Chase amongst the original cast. Now at Fringe 2013, we are pleased to announce the play's 20th anniversary revival!
Geared for ages 3 and up. * Babes In Arms Permitted
"Ming Lee and the Magic Tree" is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.
