The Princess and the Pea

Adapted by Richard Davis, Jr.
October 18th to 22nd, 2017
285 Pembina Hwy (South of Confusion Corner)

Hans Christian Andersen's classic fairy tale returns to Winnipeg stages after more than a decade!

Queen Bessie (or BOSSY, as the Court Jester calls her!) has already determined whom her precious sonny boy, Prince Handsome, will marry.

When a muddy and disheveled Princess Jasmine catches the Prince's eye unexpectedly, the Queen insists she pass the "pea under the mattress" test to prove she really is a princess...

This light-hearted new adaptation from the playwright of "SLEEPING BEAUTY" (2015) features twists of contemporary humour, with a happy ending for all.

Children can meet the Princess, Prince, Jester, and other characters in the lobby after the play!
