Bill Pats
Bill Pats began his theatre training in 2007 at Prairie Theatre Exchange, and was a member of the PTE Adult Company during their 2008/09 Season. He most recently appeared as Father Pafnuty in “SACRED BLOOD” with Merlyn Productions this May. Bill can also be seen at various venues around Winnipeg as a solo performer, following his passion for stand-up comedy.
John Chase
John Chase is the Artistic Director of Merlyn Productions, half of local Abbott & Costello impressionist team Chase & Hamill (“HEY ABBOTT!” at the 2008 Fringe), and the producer of WinnipegOnstage.com. He has produced, directed, stage managed or performed in over eighty productions on stage and radio, and served as an acting instructor. Throughout the past two decades, John has worked extensively in children's theatre with Fantasy Theatre for Children and The Theatre School, where he obtained five years of formal training under Tony Frost in the early 1990s.
Laurie Duncan
Laurie Duncan has previously appeared in several productions with Fantasy Theatre for Children, and is more commonly known as a composer and pianist. His works have been performed by the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra and Victoria Symphony. As a pianist, his performances include the complete Peters edition of the Haydn Piano Sonatas. As a composer, he has written, among other things, two operas and a piano concerto.
Megan Wilson
Megan Wilson has studied at Fantasy Theatre for Children and The Theatre School for the past seven years, and has appeared in various productions on the FTC mainstage. Megan recently travelled with NewStage Productions to Guernsey, U.K, where she appeared in two plays at the GADOC 61st Annual Theatre Festival: “Sudoku Fever” and “You Will Write, Won't You?”.
Tim Beaudry
Tim Beaudry is pleased to be making his theatrical début with Merlyn Productions as Warden Holt. Offstage, he is an accomplished photographer, and has been part of the Winnipeg Folk Festival Photo Crew for 11 years. He enjoys paddling competitively with his dragon boat team, “Boogie’s Draggin Butt”, and has helped them win two Championship trophies, among others.
