Tony Frost

Tony Frost is the Youth Theatre Instructor at Merlyn Productions, and the founder of Fantasy Theatre for Children: Winnipeg's oldest children's theatre company (est. 1981). In his thirty years as FTC's Artistic Director, he has overseen the presentation of over 200 plays and 2,000 performances.

Mr Frost has acted and directed for both stage and television, having appeared with MTC, with Rainbow Stage, and on film. Over the past 40 years, he has directed over 300 productions for both children & adults, and is responsible for establishing theatre for young people in Manitoba.

As an acting teacher, Mr Frost's legacy is evident throughout the Winnipeg theatre community and beyond, with many of his past students having gone on to careers in the performing arts.

In May 2009, Tony Frost's production of "THE BOOR" was mounted on the Merlyn Productions stage alongside John Chase's "SACRED BLOOD", as a comedy & tragedy double-feature.
